He 'Ohana Makou is very proud to welcome a new supporter, Diamond Head Hawaiian Sweet Breads. Franklin Fujimura and his 'Ohana have "pledged support" to kokua the 'Ohana and our efforts to fulfill a dream. Diamond Head Hawaiian Sweet Breads began in California but, the call of home brought Franklin back to his roots. A local entrepreneur that is committed to help out local businesses in Hawai'i any way he can. His goal for the 'Ohana reaches beyond our own imaginations. Through his efforts and the efforts of his dedicated employees, they have created a WEB site on the Internet for the entire World to read of our mission. Their dreams are to expand on our concept and include the thousands of transplanted Hawaiians, both nationally and internationally. For all you Internet surfers, you can find us at: http://earthcenter.com/hi/heohana Soon, members of the 'Ohana will be selling sweet bread tickets, The bread is ono, and at the same time, you will kokua us. He 'Ohana Makou welcomes Diamond Head Hawaiian Sweet Breads to our family.
| Mahalo Friends of Waimanalo, Inc. He 'Ohana Makou has received a grant from Friends of Waimanalo, Inc., a non-profit organization designed to help members and/or organizations of our community. The 'Ohana met with the Board of Trustees and presented our project. They felt the Aloha from our small group of residents and listened to our dream of taking a small portion of our community, with a big portion of Aloha, to the many transplanted Hawaiians living abroad. Friends of Waimanalo, Inc. and He 'Ohana Makou will team up with our supporters to present to the entire community of Waimanalo, the people and show that will taken to the Pacific Northwest and Canada (date and time to be announced). Mahalo a nui loa to Friends of Waimanalo, Inc., for their gesture of Aloha.

Meet the 'Ohana Everyone seems to be curious of who the 'Ohana members are. Families from the Waimanalo community are involved, they include: the Azevados, Wongs, Fishers, 'Opiopios and Armstrongs (who recently relocated to Kailua). Kawika Kahiapo and family comes from Kane'ohe. All six families have joined together to form He 'Ohana Makou and is the core of our foundation. If this continues to build momentum, next year's 'Ohana will grow in number. What started off as a group of Ilalau parents getting together, has evolved beyond our wildest dreams. We are now faced with the possibility of growing internationally. More than ever, He 'Ohana Makou needs your support. |
